Our Pre–Confirmation students are in 5th and 6th grade. Our main focus for two years is the Old Testament and what it means to be a Lutheran. Our 5th graders receive First Communion on the first Sunday in February. We meet each Wednesday afternoon during the school year from 4:00-5:00.
Our Confirmation students are in 7th and 8th grade. Our main focus our final two years of Confirmation is the New Testament and the Small Catechism. Our 8th graders are confirmed two Sundays after Easter. We meet each Wednesday afternoon during the school year from 5:00-6:00.
Confirmation is about the love of God. Each and every one of us is considered a “passer-on” of faith, and we are never too young or too old to do that. Our 5th-8th graders are discussing and answering questions that will change the world. Dr. Reggie Blount has a great quote worth remembering: “I learned that God loved me through the people that loved me!” The congregation of Grace Lutheran Church loves and supports our young people! Together, we are making a difference!
